About the Role

We are looking for experienced and motivated Leading Hands to join our Open Space maintenance crews. This hands-on role supports the delivery of high-quality vegetation and landscape management activities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weed control and vegetation management

• Lead and coordinate a small team to complete daily open-space maintenance activities.
• Allocate tasks, provide directions, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.

• Litter collection
• Brush cutting
• Operation of backpack blowers
• Mowing and general grounds maintenance
• Other open-space tasks as required

Requirements:

Mandatory:

• C Class Driver Licence
• Current QLD A.C.D.C Licence

• General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Card
• FIT Test – must be FIT tested to an approved mask
• Ability to complete pre-employment medical and criminal history checks

Desirable:

• MR Licence
• Q Fever vaccination
